PCS International is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator II to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing, supporting, and optimizing network infrastructure and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the company’s network systems. This role requires proficiency in troubleshooting, network design, administration, and support, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Network Administration:
o Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
o Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
o Perform regular network performance analysis, monitor traffic, and optimize network performance.
· Troubleshooting & Support:
o Provide advanced troubleshooting for network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
o Address and resolve network-related incidents and problems reported by users or automated monitoring systems.
o Collaborate with IT support staff to diagnose and resolve end-user network issues.
· Security & Compliance:
o Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols to protect company data.
o Conduct network security audits and vulnerability assessments.
o Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging security threats.
· Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain up-to-date network documentation, including topology diagrams, network configurations, and standard operating procedures.
o Prepare and present network performance and security reports to management.
· Project Management & System Upgrades:
o Participate in the design, implementation, and management of new network projects.
o Plan and execute regular system and network upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
o Assist in the development and implementation of network infrastructure projects.
· Collaboration & Communication:
o Work with other IT staff and departments to ensure network integration with applications, servers, and other systems.
o Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network administrators and other IT team members.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
· Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a network administrator or in a similar IT role.
Skills & Certifications:
· Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security.
· Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
· Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues (DNS, DHCP, IP routing, etc.).
· Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
· Familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, and other security devices.
· Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
· Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
· Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and cloud-based network infrastructures.
· Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or similar).
· Experience with wireless network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Soft Skills:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Working Conditions:
· Track time throughout the day to specific tickets accurately and in as real-time as possible.
· Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for network upgrades and maintenance.
· On-call support may be required as part of a rotating schedule.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
